From February 2013 to October 2022, Dr. Merrill served as the GW Center for Career Services Senior Industry Consultant/STEM Industry Career and Graduate School Strategies Coach. As a Certified Career Management Coach and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Certified Practitioner, Dr. Merrill supported the career objectives of students majoring in the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). She also held the position of part-time instructor for the First Year Experience Courses in GW's Elliott School of International Affairs and in the Columbian College of Arts and Science.
In October 2022, Dr. Merrill transitioned to the position of Employer Development Consultant for Government| Non-Profit| Healthcare and Public Health| International Development at the GW Center for Career Services. In this position, Dr. Merrill continues to serve students by developing employer relationships in these industry sectors and welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with employers interested in recruiting GW students. Dr. Merrill is also a seasoned focus group moderator and group facilitator.
