Joseph Crandall

Joseph Crandall, B.S.’17, M.S.’19, is a part time Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering and a Software Engineer II at Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft he worked as a Data Scientist for the United States Department of Defense and interned at ITER, an international nuclear fusion research and engineering megaproject. His Ph.D. research area is photonic and electro-optic accelerators, and at Microsoft he works within the Azure Data team on the SQL IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) product. He has additional startup experience.
