Paula Hayes, MD, MPH, is an Associate Medical Director and provides full scope Family Medicine at Neighborhood Health, a network of Federally Qualified Health Centers in Northern Virginia. Her clinical work has taken her to a variety of locations. She served two years in West Africa as a Regional Medical Officer with the U.S. Department of State. She spent eleven months working with Doctors without Borders in Rakhine State, Myanmar. Additionally, she has worked with Indian Health Services in the Grand Canyon, Santa Fe, and in Barrow, Alaska with the Arctic Slope Native Americans. While in Washington, DC she volunteered at the Bread for the City Human Rights Clinic and the George Washington HEALing Clinic. Dr. Hayes received her MD from the University of South Carolina and trained in Family Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center. She completed a one-year fellowship in Community Health Center Director Development at the Geogetown’s Department of Family Medicine and obtained her MPH from the Milken School of Public Health.
